Inna Fershteyn

Inna Fershteyn is the founder and principal attorney of the Law Office of Inna Fershteyn and Associates, P.C. She is recognized by Avvo and ThreeBestRated as a top New York estate planning attorney and elder law lawyer. Inna’s practice areas also include Medicaid planning, asset protection, wills and trusts, and guardianship. Throughout the twenty years Inna has operated her own office, she has dealt with a multitude of clients, ranging from individuals and entrepreneurs to privately held companies and large estates. Her services include, but are not limited to, setting up Article 81 and Article 17-A Guardianships, setting up pooled income trusts to assist with Medicaid Planning, and guiding clients through the differences between various revocable and irrevocable trusts to determine which ones best fit their unique estate planning situations.

Before founding her own law office, Inna practiced in the Corporate Finance department of Bryan Cave, LLP, where she counseled and structured transactions for large multi-national and publicly traded corporations, and later at Heller Ehrman White and McAuliffe, LLP, where she served as head of the Associate Committee and joined the Trust & Estates department.

Despite her busy law practice, Ms. Fershteyn is actively involved in the community. She helped establish the Menachem Educational Foundation, an organization that ensures that every Jewish child has access to the best education. Since 2016, she has served as a Senior Family Advisor for NYU Langone’s Sala Institute for Child and Family Centered Care. She devotes a lot of her free time to working with children with disabilities and helping them and their families with legal and financial planning. Inna is also President of the New York Association of Russian-Speaking Women Attorneys and is a Member of the Leadership and Safety Committee of Edward R. Murrow High School.

Inna graduated from New York University magna cum laude in 1995 with a degree in Music Business and Technology. She received her JD cum laude from Yeshiva University’s Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, where she was also inducted into the Order of the Coif. While in law school, Inna was President of the International Law Society. She is now certified by the New York and New Jersey State Bar Associations and is a New York State Mediator with over 600 hours of negotiating and mediating business and commercial disputes.
